MTSS: How Schools Support Your Child

MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) is how schools help every child succeed. It’s a system of support levels, from whole-class strategies to small-group help to individualized support for students with greater challenges.  In Florida, schools use this approach, but in other states, they may use PSW (Patterns of Strengths and Weaknesses) or the Discrepancy Model.

For children who qualify for ESE, MTSS ensures the supports they receive are personalized, monitored, and adjusted to fit their unique needs. It helps teachers and parents work together so your child can thrive academically and socially.

At Mindscan Solutions, we help parents understand MTSS and navigate ESE services so your child gets the right support at the right time.
